Give yourself the gift of a special night once each month by joining the Women of Temple Beth Elohim (WTBE) Rosh Chodesh Group. Through WTBE-Rosh Chodesh, you may build new friendships and re-invigorate existing ones by relaxing, socializing and learning together. WTBE is a multigenerational group focused on learning, sharing and just being rather than doing. If you join us, you may leave with a new insight or a new friend, or just the pleasure of an evening spent in the company of women like yourself; you will be a part of a warm, supportive, enriching and embracing community. Whether you have attended Rosh Chodesh gatherings in the past or are considering coming for the first time, we hope to see you there!

WTBE-Rosh Chodesh meets monthly around the observance of the new moon, the beginning of the Hebrew month. Celebrating Rosh Chodesh together ties us to tradition, connects us to the cycles of nature and offers each of us the opportunity to grow in our understanding of Jewish life experienced by Jewish women throughout the ages. We do this through ritual and study, song, activities, and of course, laughter and food.

 

Every WTBE-Rosh Chodesh Group meeting takes place in a member’s home while other members lead us in a program they have created. The content always has a Jewish theme and often ties to concepts and principles associated with the holidays for that month. The themes for each month are outlined on our calendar.

Please come and join us. Share in our celebration! Make new friends! Have fun while you learn! Dress is casual. Our evenings begin at 7:00 p.m. with noshing and schmoozing. The program content begins at 7:30 and ends by 9:00 p.m.
